First, thanks so much for your support of Ottawa Tonite and the show we’ve been putting together. It really means a lot to us!

Unfortunately, we’ve had to postpone The Undesirables show till later in the year. But all is not lost!

Corin Raymond, one half of The Undesirables, and Raghu Lokanathan have announce they are going to be performing a double bill house concert on Sunday, October 10th! So we really hope that you can come out to that show, there are still tickets available.

Here’s all the info you need:

House Concert in Ottawa
Doors at 7pm for a 730pm show.
This one’s downtown, just outside Chinatown.
Tickets by donation, $15 recommended.

Our wonderful House Concert evening with The Undesirables and Raghu Lokanathan is coming up fast, and you haven’t gotten your tickets yet? Well here is everything you need to know!

If you want to purchase tickets for this amazing night of music, please use the PayPal Button over there on the right, or send an email to info@ottawatonite.com. Tickets are just $20 each, and worth every penny!

Once you’ve confirmed your tickets, we’ll send you the address of the show and a map. The house concert is happening in East End Ottawa, just 15 minutes from downtown and right near the 417. If you need a ride let us know and we can do our best to arrange carpooling.

Also, we have some more great news! Our friends at United Way/Centraide Ottawa will be at the show, to share some stories of the great work they do in the community. We’ll be doing our part to raise a few bucks and some awareness of this great community organization. So now you have another great reason to join us!

New House Concert Announced!

Saturday, October 9th, 2010, Ottawa Tonite Concerts is thrilled to present an amazing double bill of talent from across Canada!

The Undesirables have been making a name for themselves recently with the release of their latest album, Travelling Show. They’ve been touring Canada, bringing their unmistakable harmonies and mesmerizing live shows to audiences far and wide, and now they are on their way back to Ottawa to hang out with us for an amazing evening!

Originally from Georgetown, Ontario, and now Toronto, the duo’s latest album is receiving rave reviews. Their inimitable blend of country rock, folk, and blues will keep you jiving in your seat, with melodies and lyrics you’ll be humming along to days after the show.

Front man Corin Raymond is the hardest working man in folk music. His lyrics reach out and grab your soul, as he weaves and moves around each song, you can’t help but sway and hum and cheer along. Sean Cotton is firmly planted on guitar and backing vocals, filling out the band’s unique sound with a rhythm and style that would make you think there were 10 people on the stage.

Joining The Undesirables all the way from Victoria, B.C, is their friend Raghu Lokanathan. Raghu is the kind of singer/songwriter that we could listen to all day and all night. His songs are catchy, touching, funny and impeccably written. Raghu’s third album, Blue Girl, is a fascinating glimpse into his growth and experience as a songrwriter. Raghu’s amazing talent to build stories around song is remarkable – his unassuming style will charm you, and his music will endear you. We were instant fans, and we are sure you will be too!
